Welcoming of Msgr. P. Anton Wyman Croos, Bishop-Elect of the Diocese of Ratnapura to the Presbyteral Family.

The maiden visit of the Bishop-Elect, Msgr P. Anton Wyman Croos, the Bishop-Elect for the Diocese of Ratnapura, marked a warm welcome by the outgoing Bishop of Ratnapura, Rt. Rev. Dr. Cletus C Perera OSB and by the priests of the Diocese. Msgr. Wyman Croose was accompanied by His Lordship Valence Mendis, the Bishop of Kandy, and Very Rev. Fr. Patrick Wijesinghe, the Episcopal Vicar of the Diocese of Chilaw. The presbyterium welcomed the Bishop-Elect at the gate of the Bishop's House. Very Rev. Fr. Damian Fernando, the Vicar General, garlanded the Bishop-Elect. Then, all proceeded to the St. Joseph Vaz’ Chapel for an initial prayer, as a sign of assigning all our endeavors to His divine providence. Then all proceeded to the “aula-magna” for an amicable discussion full of enthusiasm for a new beginning.
